ALBANY, N.Y. (Sept. 25, 2008) - As a result of legislation approved
by Governor David A. Paterson and the State Legislature, effective this
month children in families with annual incomes up to $70,000 for a family
of three ($84,000 for family of four) are eligible to obtain subsidized
coverage under New Yorks Child Health Plus insurance program. (See
attached Fact Sheet).
On Saturday, September 27, from 1:30 to 3 p.m., at the North Albany
YMCA, 616 North Pearl Street in Albany, Judith Arnold, Director of the
Division of Coverage and Enrollment in the Office of Health Insurance
Programs at the State Health Department, will be available to speak with
representatives of the media and answer questions regarding New Yorks
expanded Child Health Plus program.
